Patricia D. Youngs, 85, lifelong resident of Waterville, NY, passed away in Ft. Walton Beach, FL on Thursday, December 24, 2020.
She was born July 9, 1935 in Utica, NY, a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth Ryder Dunn and was a graduate of Waterville Central School. On November 12, 1955, Patricia married John “Jack” R. Youngs in Waterville. He predeceased her on June 29, 2016. Patricia was a secretary at the Waterville High School until retiring. She was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville. Pat enjoyed traveling and loved playing a good game of cards with her many friends.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jeffrey Chrysler of Navarre, FL; grandchildren, Ryan and Alecia Chrysler and their daughter Aria of Brookfield, NY; Tiffany and Jason Florenz and their sons, Austin and Tucker of Hubbardsville, NY; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Berenice Osborne, Helen Dunn and Mary Brennan; and two brothers, Raymond and George Dunn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Church, Waterville at a date to be determined.
There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Waterville Free Library, 206 White St., Waterville, NY 13480.
Patricia’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Waterville Residential and Care Center for the compassionate care given to her during her time there.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY.
