Paul “Doug” White

Paul “Doug” White, 71, of Poolville Rd., Hubbardsville, NY, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.

He was born August 16, 1951 in Norwich, a son of the late Alfred G. and Mildred E. Irwin White. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School. On April 10, 1993, in Madison, Paul was united in marriage to the former Sandra L. Bono.

For many years Doug worked as a flooring installer for Ray’s Wayside Furniture & Floor, Hamilton. Later, he owned and operated Paul D. White Flooring. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, gardening and was a member and supporter of Ducks Unlimited. He had a great sense of humor and was a true jokester and prankster.

Doug is survived by his wife; Sandy, his children; Lacey and Ben Eaves, Ainsley and James Gorman all of Earlville, Cory Brustad of Hubbardsville, grandchildren; Lily, Aksel, Jade, Ethan, Kaleb, Summer and Paul; a great-grandson, Forest, who had a special place in his heart;  a brother and sister-in-law; Richard and Nancy White of MD.; a close friend who he considered like a brother; August Zigon of TX.; nieces and nephews; Richard and Megan White, Jr., Jaime White, Christina White, Stephanie Hendrick and Antigone Cardif;  his in-laws; Sharon Battaglia of New Hartford, Stephen and Darlene Bono of Bouckville. He was predeceased by a sister Edith Deborah Blesser.

Friends and family are invited and may call on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 4-7 pm from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY 13346. A brief prayer service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
