Richard P. Ketzak

Richard P. “Dick” Ketzak, 75, of Chenango Forks, passed away Monday,
August 8, 2022.

He was born on December 21, 1946 in Binghamton, a son of the late Stanley and Mary Zielewicz Ketzak and was a graduate of Greene High School. On August 20, 1983, Richard married Linda Marie McDaniel in Pulaski NY. Dick worked for the Raymond Corporation for many years, and then owned and operated D&R Contracting in Chenango Forks until retiring.

He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Greene and a life member of the Chenango Forks Fire Department. His favorite hobbies included boating, hunting and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved spending time at his camp on Sandy Pond which he built with trees from his property that he cut and milled himself.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Michael “Mike: and Marjorie Ketzak of Greene; Robert “Bob” Ketzak and Colette Ketzak of Afton, NY; his grandchildren, Ethan and Olivia Ketzak of Greene; Travis Ketzak and Becca Baudendistel of Brooklyn, NY; and Amanda Ketzak of Afton; many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as the McDaniel family. Also surviving is Mason Hamilton, a dear friend who worked for Dick and was like a member of the family.

Friends are invited to call at the Immaculate Conception Church, 1180 NY206, Greene, NY on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 9-11AM, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
