Rita E. Meyer

Rita E. Meyer, 101, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Waterville Residential and Care Center. She was born on April 12, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Rooney) Foy. She was a graduate of Newdorp High School in Staten Island. In April of 1951, Rita married Leonard Meyer, in Staten Island. He predeceased her on November 27, 1995. 
Rita worked as a Nurse’s Aid at Pathfinder Village in Edmeston, NY. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hamilton and St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Waterville. 
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Kathleen (William) Schnurr, of NJ., Patricia Meyer, of Hubbardsville and Jeanne (Kevin) Hyde of OH., she is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
She was predeceased by a son, Edward S. Meyer and her siblings.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
