Robert J. Wahlberg

Robert “Bob” Wahlberg, 76, of North Norwich, NY, passed away peacefully at home with his family on December 1, 2021.
Bob was born April 19, 1945 in Binghamton, NY. He attended and graduated from Bainbridge-Guilford Central School and Binghamton Tech. After college, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1972. Bob was known and loved by many. He loved spending time gardening and tending to his orchard. He will also be remembered for the many creations he built in his workshop over the years.
Bob worked many jobs throughout his life, but he really enjoyed his job at Dollar General where he made friends with everyone who walked through the door. He retired in 2017.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Alberta; his son Jonathan Wahlberg (Sarah) of Norwich; daughters, Stephanie Ives (Brian) of Tampa, FL; and Deborah Rose of Binghamton; a sister, Virginia Smith of Chittenango; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Wahlberg and a granddaughter, Courtney E. Rose.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
His family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of Chenango County for their compassionate care.
