Trent D. Baker

April 14, 1975 — October 28, 2022

Sherburne

SHERBURNE: On April 14, 1975, Trent Davis Baker entered this world bringing sunshine. Sadly, on October 28, 2022, Trent left this world, leaving a hole in his mother’s heart that will remain there forever. Trent was born to Amy Thomas and Gary Baker and was raised by Amy and Dick Jeffrey.

Trent was an old soul with a restless spirit. This led him to wander the world until he finally came back home to rest and live in the home in which he was raised.

Trent was a curious adult, interested in learning and understanding the world around him, searching for answers to unknown questions

Trent was a loving person and treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. He was always willing to help someone in need.

Trent leaves behind his mother Amy of Sherburne, a sister, Sarah of Virginia, a brother Randy Jeffrey of Sherburne, a stepsister Jennifer Jeffrey and family of Sherburne, his mother’s sister and his special aunt Susie (Brenda) Alpaugh and her children, Marsha Bliss and family of South Edmeston, Trish Anderson and family of Sherburne, Mercedes Allen and family, West Winfield. Makayla Sullivan and family, of Sherburne. Also, his mother’s brothers Bob Thomas of Smyrna, and children Barbie, Becky, Bobbie, Shelley, Robin, Billy and Jolene and families. Jerry Thomas of Norwich and his family and a very special cousin Kim Thomas. Also, his stepfather’s family, grandmother Ruth Jeffrey, and siblings including a very special aunt and uncle Patty and Lenny Bosshammer, Sherburne, David, Jim, and John Jeffrey, an Aunt Diane Hausrath. His father’s siblings Ted and Fred Baker and their families.

Trent was predeceased by his stepfather, Dick Jeffrey; his maternal grandparents, Judy and John Fradenburg; his maternal aunt Dema Ray and maternal uncle Brad Taft; step grandfather Jack Jeffrey: his paternal grandparents Richard and Bernice Baker, and aunt Lucy Manzer, and cousin Keith Baker.

Trent graduated from Sherburne-Earlville High School. After a year of college, he decided that college was not the path he desired to pursue. After exploring various types of employment and traveling, he spent eight years in Georgia. In 2019 he returned to Sherburne. Prior to his death, was happily employed at Golden Artist Colors In Edmeston.

Although Trent never married, he considered his dog Peggy to be his child and devoted himself to her care. Peggy remained at his side until her death in 2020. Trent will always remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves this world a better place for his having been here.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
