Wendy J. Mowrey

Wendy J. Mowrey, 52 of South Main St., Earlville, NY, passed away July 10, 2022 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse following a brief illness.

Wendy was a lifelong resident of the Sherburne/Earlville area. She graduated from Sherburne-Earlville High School, attended Mount St. Mary’s College in Newburgh, NY and MVCC in Utica, NY. Wendy most recently worked at the Huff Brau, where her strong personality was known by all. She had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor, and her infectious smile could light up a room. She will be missed by many, who will reminisce with stories about her for years to come (Cheers, Wee!).

Wendy is survived by her longtime partner, Marc Tucker of Earlville; her daughter, and the light of her life, Corinne Tucker; step-daughters, Megan and Cheyanne Tucker (Judah Nietopski) of Sherburne and Manlius; step-granddaughter, Kinsley Briggs; parents, Bonnie and David Mowrey of Rochester; a sister, Kristine (Kevin) Brown of Rochester; nephews, Tyler and Cody Brown, aunts and uncles, Ted (Nancy) Hogan, Margie McMullen, Frank (Mickey) Mowrey and Tina Cook, as well as several cousins.

Wendy was predeceased by her infant daughter, Megan; and her grandparents, Lucille and Neil Hogan, and Kenneth and Marie Mowrey.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Friday, July 15, 2022 in the West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wendy’s memory may be made to the Earlville Emergency Squad, the Sherburne Emergency Squad; SOMAC, or donate blood to your local blood bank.
